He was a graduate of Rock Branch School in Elberton County. Mr. Daniel was a United States Navy veteran serving during WWII in the invasion of Normandy. He worked for Toxaway Mills for many years, and then he worked for the Michelin Tire Company for ten years before his retirment. He was a member of the American Legion and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and a member of the Men's Sunday School Class.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Parker, Wilson, and Clyde Daniel; sisters, Cecil Charping and Nannie Bell Teasley.
