Mrs. Lillie Jett Newton, 83, of Stafford County, died Sunday at Mary Washington Hospital. She was the widow of A. B. Newton.
Surviving are four daughters, Lillian Shelton, Evelyn Newton, Mabel Sullivan and Virginia Curtis, all of Stafford; five sons, Edward, Robert, George, Benjamin and Frank Newton, all of Stafford, 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wheeler & Thompson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Croll officiating. Grandchildren of Mrs. Newton will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Newton was a life-long member of New Hope Methodist Church.
