Orlie was the 7th of 8 children born to Joseph and Phebe Warner. He was born in Smith County, Kansas and lived there throughout his childhood. After marrying Esther Ellis on December 16, 1923 he lived in Jewell County, Kansas until his children were grown (except for a short period of time during the depression when the family went to Idaho for work). When their youngest was in college Orlie and Esther moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where they lived until their deaths. Orlie worked hard to provide for his family and held many different jobs over the years to do that. He was a quiet man who loved his family, baseball and fishing. He played semi-pro baseball as a young man as an employee of the Rock Island Railroad. Orlie was known to many as "Buck". He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother and left behind a large extended family of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
