Services for Mrs. Driskill, 83, of Cushing, were held with Rev. Larry Eslinger officiating in the Memorial Chapel of Davis Funeral Home, Cushing.
Born to James Opal and Gertrude Louise Nitzel, she was reared and educated in the area and married Homer Driskill in Purcell on Sept. 12, 1936. Born to this union were Kenneth, Jim, Nancy and Billy. The couple moved to the Cushing area in 1967.
For more than 15 years she worked as a cook for the Cushing schools. She loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting and crocheting.
Preceding her in death were her husband, who died 23 Dec 2000; a young son, Billy Joe, who died in 1956, at the home in Purcell.
Survivors include son, Jim Driskill, Ripley; daughter, Nancy Louise Brashear,
(Feb. 27, 1940-Sep. 2, 2006), Sulphur; 5 sisters, Erma Lee Ferguson, Blanchard, Virgie Lampkins, OKC, Mary Garrett, Maysville, Jimmie Ruth Logan, Purcell and Geraldine Panell, Lexington; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 gr-gr-grandchildren. *
