Mr. Steffy was born July 2, 1902, in Hutsonville to Henry Kelly and Emma (Watson) Steffy. He married Emma Young, who survives, June 6, 1923, in Lawrenceville.
He was a self-employed painter and was a deacon at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Robinson.
Survivors include his wife Emma, Cotillion Nursing Home, Robinson; a son, Jerald R. Steffy, Geenfield, Wis.; a daughter, Carol Russel, Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
