Nellie Wood, 89, of Amarillo, formerly of Muleshoe, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002.
She was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Honey Grove. She married Willis Wood in Hollis, Okla., on Jan. 7, 1933. He died Oct. 10, 1992. She lived in Sudan, moved to Muleshoe in 1946 and to Amarillo in December 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Muleshoe.
Survivors include three sons, Dale of Monahan, Larry of Temple and Lonnie Wood of Lake Sumner, N.M.,; two daughters, Carolyn Willhoite of Yuma, Ariz., and Virginia Redd of Amarillo; three sisters, Virginia Albright of Lubbock, Rhuia Norman of Wellington and Naomi Bradley of Corpus Christi; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
