Mr David Hoover was born in St Joseph county, Ind, March 14, 1867, died Oct 6, 1912. Aged 45 yrs, 6 mo, 24 days. He leaves a wife, six children, four sisters and two brothers with a host of relatives to mourn his departure.

One sister and one brother live at Tacoma, Washington, one sister at Nevada, Kansas, one sister in Michigan and a brother and sister near North Liberty, Ind.

Two years ago he went to Canada and took up a homestead and had been there since that time. He died very suddenly of heart trouble on his farm near Manitoba. He was brought from Canada to North Liberty and was buried at the East Church, southeast of North Liberty on Oct. 12. Funeral services were conducted by Jacob Hildebrand.

Mr Hoover was well known in and around Wakarusa having lived on a farm near Wakarusa for several years and worked in town about ten years, being employed as a clerk in several different stores and worked for Jacob Weldy as engineer at the mill for five years. He was a good husband and a kind father and will be missed by his many friends.
