Son of John and Katherine (Clark) Allen. Katherine married 2nd to Levi Harner and she is buried in the Hinman Cemetery with Levi.

The notice of the death of George Allen and his sister Lucinda (Allen) Walton was carried on the front page of the Nile Daily Star on 29 Aug 1939 and it reads: "Aged Pair Killed In Traffic Crash Two Glendora Residents Die When Truck Hits Auto Berrien county's 1939 traffic toll shot up to 26 Monday night when two aged residents of Glendora lost their lives in a car-truck crash one and one half miles east of Glendora. Victims were Mrs. Lucinda Walton, 86, killed instantly, and her brother, George Allen, 80, who died a half-hour after the collision while being sped to St. Joseph sanitarium in an ambulance. Both had skull fractures. Mrs. Walton's neck was broken. Raymond Woolet, 20, Glendora, riding in Allen's car, escaped with bruises and lacerations. Reports to state police said Allen, coming from the north, failed to stop and drove onto County Road 326 directly into the path of a truck driven by Eugene Hendryx, 26, Bridgman. Coroner Louis Kerlikowske is investigating. Bodies of the victims are in the Kenney Funeral home, Galien. Arrangements for services are incomplete." His death record indicates he is buried in this cemetery. Double funeral services were held with his sister and were conducted by Rev. Frederic Williams pastor of the Baroda Congregational Church. Mr Allen was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge who conducted rites at the grave. According to census records I could find it appears he never married and lived in the Richard and Lucinda (Allen) Walton household. Record show George Allen is buried in Glendora cemetery, however there is no headstone.
