Emma Holloway, 101, of Amarillo, died Monday, April 26, 2010.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fairview Assembly of God with the Rev. Cliff Houghton officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.

Emma was born Aug. 14, 1908, in De Queen, Ark. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1950, and was a member of Fairview Assembly of God. She worked for Amarillo and Panhandle Laundry for several years.

She married Emery Holloway on Aug. 28, 1926, in Idabel, Okla.

Emma loved to quilt, crochet and cook. She was dedicated to reading her Bible, and enjoyed listening to hymns and gospel music. Her family was a very important part of her life. She cherished every moment spent with each one, especially playing with the children. She will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter; and two sons.

Survivors include a daughter, Adell Evans and husband Walter of Amarillo; two sons, Leon Holloway and wife Pat of Amarillo and Troy Holloway and wife Thelma of Rowlett; a brother, Louis Needham of Winnsboro; 26 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
