Survived by his mother; sisters, Willie Tompkins of Six Mile; Lillie Mae Gilstrap (1920-2010) and Louise Gilstrap of Liberty; and Ruth Ann Strange of Greenville; and a brother, Wade J. "Dub" Gilstrap of Easley.

Services: Wednesday, December 7, 1977; Golden Creek Baptist Church.

Burial: West View Cemetery.
