Eula was the widow of Homer J. Gilstrap, and the daughter of Thomas H. & Osie C. Davenport.

At the time of her death she was survived by four daughters, Willie Tompkins of Six Mile, Lillie Mae Gilstrap (1920-2010) and Louise Gilstrap, both of their home; and Ruth Ann Steadman of Easley; a son, Wade Jack Gilstrap of Easley; a brother, Pascal Davenport (1908-1991) of Valijo, Ca., a sister, Lois Durham of Easley, and a half-sister, Nettie Stancil of Easley.

Her funeral service was held Sunday, August 19, 1985 in the chapel of Liberty Mortuary.

Burial: West View Cemetery.
