Dink was the son of the late Julius N. and Mattie Pressley Gilstrap, and the husband of Effie Pressley Gilstrap.

At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Brewer of Easley, Mrs. Phyllis Hendricks of Six Mile, and Mrs. June Masters of Liberty; five sisters, Mrs. Louise Melton, Mrs. Cecile Dickard, Mrs. Sarah Tillirson, and Mrs. Opal Bryant of Liberty, and Mrs. Martha Rampey of Columbia; two brothers, Bill Gilstrap and Leonard Gilstrap (6/26/26-5/20/11) of Liberty, and eight grandchildren.

Services were held on Saturday, January
24th, 1976, at Kings Grove Baptist Church.

Burial: West View Cemetery.
