ELKHART--Leonard R. Crume, 77, of Elkhart died at 4:11 a.m. Wednesday (April 28, 2010) at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was formerly of Mercer Avenue in Goshen.
He was born to Wilbur Rose and Violet Pauline (Barhydt) Crume on Feb. 23, 1933, in Goshen. On Feb. 1, 1953, he married Marian Irene Stinson in Goshen. She died Nov. 10, 2002.
Surviving are his daughter Jenny Crume of Elkhart; sons Terry (Diane) Crume of Elkhart and Mike Crume of Goshen; sister Jackie (Larry) Besson of Naples, Fla., and Athena Sharum of Lakeside, Calif., brothers William R. of Bristol and Ralph E. Crume of Fort Myers, Fla.: and five grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by sons, Billy Raymond Crume and step-son, James E. Bates.
Leonard was a welder Steury Boats.
Buial will be in Oakridge cemetery, Goshen, at a later date.
