Gilbert Clarence Cochran Jr., of Juniper Street, Wareham, MA died of illness on April 24, 2008. Born in Winthrop, MA, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Anne (Emond) Cochran Sr. He leaves behind a legacy as a hard-working man. He was a retiree of 32 years with GTE Sylvania of Central Falls. He was also a Korean War Veteran and former Commander of the Rhode Island Korean War Veterans Association. He is survived by his children, Gary Cochran of Attleboro, MA, Robin Liberty of Wareham, MA, Glenn Cochran of Rehoboth, MA, Michael Cochran of Lakeville, MA, and Keith Cochran of Cranston. He also had a grandson and five granddaughters as well as sisters Irene Johnson of MI, and Donna Marfil of Providence. He was the brother of the late Alice Paolino and Guy Cochran.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am at the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Park Street, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Monday 4-7pm.
