Normand A. Dionne, 73, of the Pocasset Apartments, 951 Dyer Ave., an employee of the Veterans Administration Medical Center for 30 years before retiring in 1973 as chief of the outpatient clinic, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Christine A. (Nelen) Dionne. Born in Fall River, a son of the late August and Annie (Thibodeau) Dionne, he lived in Cranston for 29 years. Mr. Dionne was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and retired as a chief warrant officer with the 455th General Hospital Group. He was a member of the AARP and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Mary A. Dionne of Pawtucket, Doris A. Dionne of Somerset, and a sister, Doris Dewsnap of Somerset. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Ann's Church, Cranston Street. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
