Mrs. Vera A. Wolf Dies At Age 83; Rites Monday

A cook for 16 years at Lancaster School, Mrs. Vera A. Wolf, 83, of Ossian Health Care Center died at 9:37 a.m. Friday at Clinic Hospital, where she had been a patient the past eight days. Prior to moving to Ossian two years ago, she resided at Roush Trailer Court in Bluffton.
She was a member of Lancaster United Methodist Church and was cook and camp counselor for church camping trips.
A native of Wells County, she was born July 25, 1901, to George and Elizabeth Bartelmay Milholland. Her marriage to Moody Wolf, whose death occurred Dec. 4, 1955, took place in Tocsin in February, 1917.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Carolyn) Gephart of Syracuse; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Manley of the Warren Methodist Home and Mrs. Lucille Earhart of Bluffton; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The body is at Elzey-Dickey-Haggard Funeral Home in Ossain, where friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services will be conducted by Rev. Fred Pflugh at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery at Tocsin.
Preferred memorials are to the diabetes association.
