Kathleen Jean Goodmon (Brewer) August 5, 1970 - April 25, 2010 Visitation for Kathleen Jean Goodmon (Brewer) will be held at Grace Assembly of God (2800 Larson Way) on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery (2739 Panama Lane). Kathleen was a devoted wife, cherished sister, favorite aunt, loving daughter and beloved friend to all who have met her. On Sunday, April 25, 2010, Kathy peacefully passed on to be with Our Lord after a long battle with cancer. She was 39 years old. Kathy spent her final hours in the company of family and many good friends. Her compassion for others was evident as she focused her final hours saying goodbye to everyone who loved her. She was a strong-willed fighter to the end. Kathy is best known for her devotion and faith to Our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a much beloved member of the Grace Assembly of God, whose members have been supportive in every way imaginable. Thank You. Kathy was a trained cosmetologist, worked as a waitress, then in restaurant management for many years. She even helped found a coffee house at her church. Kathy would say her greatest achievement is her marriage to Bryan Goodmon, to which she devoted her full attention. Brian and Kathy shared ten wonderful years together, cultivating a rich marriage and they will forever share a special bond. Kathy's sweet spirit and unconditional love touched so many lives and blessed them all. We are all the richer for knowing her and we carry her goodness in our hearts. Kathy will be greatly missed. The world seems a little less brighter without her with us. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Bryan Goodmon; father and mother, Ed and Cheryl Brewer; mother and father, Cherrell and Wayne Foster; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ronna and James Goodmon; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Cindy Brewer; sister and brother-in-law, Christy and Rick Machado; brother, Lewis Brewer; grandfather, Richard Morris as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
