Born April 9, 1938 in Medford, Md., she was the daughter of Nellie Robertson Plaine of Westminster, Md. and the late Charles D. Plaine Sr. She was the wife of Lawrence E. Baker.
She was a member of Benders Lutheran Church, Biglerville and the Friday Night Sno-Ball Doubles Bowling League at Thunderhead Lanes, Taneytown, Md. She was a self-employed day care operator in Adams County for 30 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Lisa G. Wallace of Knowlton, N.J.; two sons, Eric W. Baker of Gardners and Gary T. Baker of Hanover; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary Klein of Taneytown, Md., Beverly Plaine, Edith Fowble and Robin Wagner, all of Westminster, Md., and Linda Fleagle of Waynesboro, Md.; three brothers, Ben Plaine and Noah Plaine, both of Westminster, and John Plaine of Manchester, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Benders Lutheran Church, 1385 Rentzel Road, Biglerville, with the Rev. Richard Spratlin officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
