Vobituary Shelby Democrat of Thursday July 15, 1909 (from Wednesday's daily paper)
William A. Critser, a well known resident of Waldron died this morning at 5:30 o'clock. His death was due to dropsy from which he had been suffering for some time. He was aged 68 years 1 month and 15 days. He was survived by three children, William H., Frederick and Mrs. Laura C. Roome of Waldron. He was a veteran of the War of the Rebellion having served in Company I. of the 79th Indiana Regt. He was a member of the Dumont Post G.A.R. and they will have charge of the funeral. Services would be held at the M.E. Church in Waldron at 10:00 Friday with Rev. Moore officiating. Interment in the Ogden Cemetery in charge of Stewart and Fix.
