"Kathryn Marie Hall, 89, of Lone Tree, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at her residence, following an extended illness. Funeral services were Tuesday, July 6, at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree, with the Reverend Jason Pittman and the Reverend Beverly Hovencamp officiating. Special music was provided by Lyle Beaver. Burial was in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Casketbearers were Jeffrey Hall, Steve Hall, Chris Hall, Linn Hall, Tim Gottwalt and Brian Werbach. Honorary casketbearers were Lawrence Hall, Dustin Hall and Shawn Werbach. The Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the United Presbyterian Church or the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue.

Kathryn Marie MacGowan was born November 1, 1914, in West Liberty, the daughter of Harold and Ida (Hipple) MacGowan.

On January 12, 1935, she was united in marriage to Cleo L. Hall in Clinton.

She was a homemaker who loved helping on the family farm with her husband. She was a member of the Rebeccas and the Fremont Homemakers, the United Presbyterian Church,
American Legion Auxiliary, Eagle Club in Iowa City and Women's Moose in Iowa City. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, traveling and being with family.

She is survived by four sons, Ernest S. Hall and his wife, Judy, of Ankeny, Oran L. Hall and his wife, Sharon, of Lone Tree, Robert A. Hall and his wife, Joyce, of Phoenix,
Arizona, and Harold (Ed) Hall and his wife, Elizabeth, of Oceanside, California; two daughters, Nancy J. Werbach and her husband, Don, of Lone Tree and Cleone K. Gottwalt and
her husband, Joe, of Iowa City; a sister, Joyce Steen and her husband, Fred, of West Liberty; two sisters-in-law, Ruth MacGowan and Evelyn MacGowan, both of West Liberty; 17
grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cleo, in 1990; an adoptive son, Robert Burns Anderson; four brothers, Bruce, Howard, Glen and an infant brother; two
sisters, Audrey Eden and June Grandjean; and one sister-in-law, Marilyn MacGowan.
