Henry Herbert was my husbands grandfather.
Henry Herbert Anderson was the son of Daniel Anderson and Eliza Eugenia Cartrette Anderson.
Henry was married first to Nettie Caroline Strickland and had 4 children. May 17 1919 Nettie was struck by lightening and killed, he then married Lutie Fleetwood Booth and they had 3 children, Herbert Legrande, Eugenia Grace and James Daniel.
Henry, Nettie, Lutie and an infant son are buried Zoan Methodist Church in Horry Cty.

H.H.Anderson dies suddenly

Henry Herbert(Hub) Anderson, 51 year old farmer of the Gurley section, died in the Conway hospital early last Saturday morning following a brief illness.
In addition to his work as a farmer, Mr. Anderson was a tobacconist and had been employed by tobacco warehouses in this section. He served for many years as Democratic committeeman from this home precinct and also served on various school boards.
He had been in failing health for several months but was able to superintend his farm work until last Friday evening when he was taken suddenly ill and sent to the hospital.
He was married twice, his first wife having died in 1919. He is survived by his second wife, who was Miss Lutie Booth, three daughters, Mrs. J R Allsbrook, Mrs. J G Gore, and Miss Grace Anderson of Wilmington NC and four sons, D C
Anderson, U S Army, located in Virginia; Bruce Anderson, U S Army, Camp Cook California, Legrand Anderson and James Anderson both of Gurley.
Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday afternoon at 5 oclock and burial followed in Zoan cemetery.
