Birth: 3rd of 10 known children, in Union county, Indiana

Moved with family to the Territory of Kansas fall 1860, first to Allen creek in Fremont township, Breckenridge county, which became Lyon county in 1862, after statehood was obtained in 1861.

Ninth Federal Census, 1870, age 27 Fremont township, Lyon county, Kansas, with daughter & mother-in-law Louisa S Spencer. with its population growth to 8,014 (year 2000, 35,925) -- household on Dow creek was next to older sister Eleanor & family. Frank and wife Margaret (Maggie) L (Spencer) are next found living in Laramie county, Wyoming when supporting Daniel Rice Boon Flora, husband of younger sister Mary, with his civil war union army pension in 1908.

1910 census found them in Brownsville, Linn county, Oregon next to son Frank, his bride of 2 years and infant son, both carpenters, then died in Ouray county, Colorado, where D R B Flora whose wife, Mary, was a younger sister & his oldest sister, Elinor lived and are buried in Cedar Hill cemetery. Frank and Maggie were however buried, he in 1917, she 1935, with common headstone, in Section 28, Row 5, Lot 10 Maple Wood-Memorial Lawn Cemetery, back at Emporia, Lyon county, Kansas, where his parents were buried 1896 & 1904 and her mother's parents, who bought a plot in 1870.
