Birth: 11th of twelve known children in Half Moon Valley, Centre county, Pennsylvania.

Father documented on census at Emporia township in 1857, Territory of Kansas with a monument in Maplewood cemetery honoring him as a Kansas Pioneer of 1857.

"Maggie's" older sister "Sue", a twin, 2nd born, Susannah Lighfoot (Spencer) Ruggles reportedly once broke up a saloon by rolling barrels of liquor and smashing them in the street. She defended herself in the court room and won. Town of Emporia prohibited gambling and liquor when created in 1858.

Census (Kansas): 1865, age 19, single, in Lyon county, Kansas with parents & four siblings.

Census, (Nineth Federal: 1870, age 24 Fremont Township, Lyon county, Kansas, with husband, daughter & mother Louisa (Mendenhall) Spencer, with a county population growth of some 5,000 since 1860 to 8,014, (year 2000, 35,925) -- household on Dow creek was next to Eleanor (Hollingsworth) Flora her sister-in-law & family.

Frank and wife Margaret "Maggie" L (Spencer) are next found in 1908, living in Laramie county, Wyoming when Frank was supporting brother-in-law Daniel Rice Boon Flora with his civil war union army pension, in 1910 found at Brownsville, Linn county, Oregon next to son Frank, his wife and infant son, then died in Ouray county, Colorado, where D R B Flora and wife, her sister-in-law Mary & sister-in-law, Elinor lived and are buried. Maggie and Frank however were buried in Section 28, Row 5, Lot 10 MapleWood/Memorial Lawn cemetery at Emporia, Lyon county, Kansas, with a common headstone, where her mother was an early purchaser of a plot in 1870, buried with her father with a Memorial Stone noting they Kansas Pioneeers of 1857, and husnabd's parents were buried 1896 & 1904, Frank, buried 1917, Maggie 1935.
