His siblings were: James Lacey Abbott 1884-1929; Joseph Everett Abbott, 1889-1924; Beulah Edna Abbott, 1893-1979; Floyd Marshall Abbott, 1897-1964; Harry Hazard Abbott, 1900-1934; and Emma Jane Abbott, 1902-1986. They also had a half sister, Mary Dorcus Abbott, 1885- () the daughter of James Abbott and Mary Martha (Martin) Abbott. Mary was James M. Abbott's first wife.
Frank worked for the Kansas Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, as a Freight car inspector.
Frank married Helen Wilcox. They resided in Pueblo, Colorado where they raised their children, George Vernon Abbott, Myrna, Helen Serena, and Jane Abbott.
