DEATH CLAIMS LOGAN WOMAN

Emma Irene Southworth Bagley John, 74, died today in a Logan hospital following an illness of seven weeks. Her home is 175 North 3rd East.

She was born May 17, 1884, in Montpelier, Ida., a daughter of Joseph S. and Sarah A. Norton Southworth, and had spent her early life in Montpelier, then moving to St. Anthony.

She was married to George William Bagley June 16, 1900, in Pocatello; it was later solemnized in Logan LDS Temple. Mr. Bagley died Jan. 31, 1953.

Then on May 31, 1954, she was married in the Idaho Falls temple to Thomas J. John; both have been temple workers in Logan.

A member of Logan Fourth ward at the time of her death, Mrs. John had been active in
church functions throughout her life.

Her husband and seven of her 12 children survive: Mrs. Glen (Velma) Watts, Amity, Ore.; Mrs. Sterling (Lucille), Aldridge, Amity; Elwin E. Bagley, Weaverville, Calif.; Mrs. Ralph (Fern) Barney, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lynford (Donna) Pearce, Oakland, Calif.; Clifford W. Bagley, Tulare, Calif., Verl Bagley, Menlo Park, Calif.; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Lewman Southworth, Pendleton, Ore.; Wesley N., Baker, Ore.; Mrs. Dan Stephenson, Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. Einer A. Jessen, Logan; Mrs. John Parkinson, Logan; Mrs. Homer Walker, Ogden.

Funeral services will be announced later.
