"Aged Woman Passes Away-Pneumonia Kills Mrs. Melissa M. Duffield at Home of Daughter.-Melissa M. Duffield, aged 70 years, died yesterday of pneumonia at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Irish, on Forty-fourth street. Her sickness was of several weeks duration.
Until a year ago, Mrs. Duffield lived at Jerseyville, Ill. Since that time she has been living in Des Moines with Mrs. Irish. She was born in Iowa and is well known by the early residents of Des Moines.
Mrs. Duffield is survived by three daughters and a son. Beside Mrs. Irish, the children are: J.E. Duffield of Alton, Ill.; Ida Duffield of St. Louis, MO., and Mrs. E.L. Sharon of Carthage, MO. Interment will be in Keosauqua and probably on Wednesday."
