He married Donna Muxworthy in Detroit on Sept. 8, 1956.
Don was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Korea and retired from the Detroit Police Department as a Sargent in 1987 and then worked as a Security Officer at Botsford Hospital.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, the retired Police & Firefighters Assc. and the "Snowbirds of Gaylord".
Surviving are his wife Donna, Son: Mark of Georgia and daughter: Janice Saaranen of Dearborn and 3 grand children.
He was preceded in death by his son: Dale and 4 brothers and sisters.
Memorial Mass July 10, Friday at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. James Lothamer officiating.
