Civil War Service: He enlisted Aug 6 1862 & mustered in as a Private on August 30 1862 at Camp Massillon, Ohio, with Co D, 104th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He mustered out with the unit at Greensboro, NC on July 17 1865.

He married Hattie E. Ables Bancroft
They had two children:
Eugene Myron Bancroft (1867-1910) He married Mary and was an Allopath Doctor in Warren, Ohio
Lenora "Nora" A. Bancroft (1871-??)

He married 2nd Mary E. Wheatley May 18 1899 in Summit County, Ohio (She was born 1859 & died ??)
