Pecatonica, ILL, Mrs. Mary Jane Daughenbaugh, widow of Frank Daughenbaugh passed away at a Rockford hospital Wednesday night at 10 o'clock, after an illness of three weeks.
Mrs. Daughenbaugh's maiden name was Mary Jane Monsell and she was born Jan. 12, 1852, in Greenwood Furnace, Pa., coming west in 1859 with her parents, who settled in Illinois. She was married Feb. 13, 1872, to Frank Daughenbaugh, the ceremony being performed in Freeport. Mr. Daughenbaugh passed away July 12, 1933.

Six sons were born to the Daughenbaughs, four dying in infancy. Surviving are; Charles H., and James F. Daughenbaugh of Pecatonica; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ida Lincoln of Ridott. Mrs Daughenbaugh had resided in Pecatonica for the last 11 years, Ridott having been her home before she moved to the Village.

Mary Jane Monsell was a half sister of Charles Ross Morrison. They both had the same mother, Mary Ann (Bush) Monsell Morrison. I (JRM) have a picture of her, Ida May Morrison and Charles Ross Morrison. To the right. I strongly suspect that the picture was taken about 1911 when they were together for the funeral of their brother Joseph Henderson Morrison in Ridott, Illinois
