EULA GRACE MORRISON---Eula Grace Morrison, 74, of Beaverton, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 1997 at Lecanto, Fla. after a long illness. Born Nov. 5, 1923 in Black Horse, Ohio, she was a homemaker.
The former Eula G. Harper married Walter Morrison Jr., July 17, 1943 in Alliance, Ohio.
She was a member of the Dale United Methodist Church in Beaverton, and chairperson for the 10th Congressional District in Michigan. Eula was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Post 7303, Gladwin County, serving as past president, and also past president of the VFW District, past VFW National Home Chairman and the Military Order of the COOTIES.
She served on the presidential election campaign for Jimmy Carter and was currently serving as the Selective Service chairman in Gladwin County.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Harriette and husband Thomas Bongiovanni of Rochester Hills; one brother, Kenneth Harper of Revenna, Ohio; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; three grandchildren, Carrie Mariuz of Holland, Rachel Schaub and Christopher Bongiovanni, both of Rochester Hills; and four great-grandchildren, Anthony and Sara Mariuz of Holland, and Emily and Nicholas Schaub of Rochester Hills.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel with Rev. David Stewart officiating. Burial was in Tobacco Township (Dale) cemetery, Beaverton.
Special services were held at 7:30 p.m. Friday by the VFW Auxiliary.
