Funeral services were conducted in Minneapolis on Monday for Adolph David Erkel, a former deputy sheriff of Hennepin county, who died in Los Angeles on April 28. Mr Erkel was the husband of Alberta Howard and son in law of Mrs. Ellen Howard.
Mr. Erkel is survived by his wife, two daughters, Virginia and Viola, and two sons, Adolph David Jr. and Neil. All members of his family were in California with him when he died and returned to Minneapolis to attend the funeral services. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Viola Nichols of Minneapolis.
Impressive and beautiful services were conducted at the Cataract Lodge No. 2 of the A.F and A.M. of which Mr. Erkel was a member. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 1274. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.
David Erkel made a find record during the years he served in the Hennepin County Sheriff's office, and had scores of warm friends in Minneapolis. The family moved to California about an year ago.
Among the residents of Princeton who were in attendance at the funeral were Mr and Mrs D. E. Sausser, Mrs. Daisy Mudgett and Mr and Mrs P.L. Pearson.
Mrs. Erkel and the children were intending to start back this week on their return trip to Los Angeles.
