Walter Benson, Mattydale, 81, died Thursday at his, home.
Mr. Benson was born In Hastings and lived most of his life there. He was a member and elder of the Hastings Presbyterian church.
Mr. Benson is survived by his wife, Elberta Benson; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Munger of Mattydale and Mrs. Oscar Bowen of Liverpool; two granddaughters, Mrs. Anthony Cornell, of Hastings and Mrs. Daniel Todero of Liverpool, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Traub funeral home, Mattydale, the Rev. W. Chester Winter officiating. Burial was in Hastings.
