Boyd Camden Rodgers, of Columbus, age 80, September 15, 1926 - October 14, 2006 at Chillicothe VA Hospital. Survived by wife, Susie Rodgers; children, Mason (Elizabeth), Rodney, Curtis Rodgers, and Barbara Widmer; grandchildren, Gena, Stacey, and Todd; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Thurber (Ann) Rodgers; niece, Joan Adkins. WWII Veteran, serving on the U.S.S. New Jersey 1944-1946 during the Asiatic Pacific Campaign and Phillippine Liberation. Life Member of the American Legion Post 490, VFW Post 8794 and The Handyman's Club of America. Member of Eagles #3665 - Beverly, OH, AmVets and Disabled American Veterans. Boyd was a carpenter who owned and operated B.C. Remodeling Co. and built an outstanding reputation for quality workmanship. He loved history, building and was an avid hunter and fisherman. A memorial service will be held at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME VICTORIAN VILLAGE CHAPEL, 34 W 2nd Ave., Wednesday 3 p.m. with calling 1 hour prior to service. Contributions may be made to Volunary Services VA Medical Center, 17273 St. Rte. 104, Chilicothe, OH 45601.
