Lester Theodore Badger was born Oct. 11, 1921, to Pearl Ellen Kirkpatrick and Theodore Lester Badger in Indianapolis, Ind. Lester served in World War II in Patton's army. On July 3, 1946, he married Estia Marie Atkins and together they had two children. He attended Southwestern Baptist Seminary and became a licensed Baptist minister. He graduated from TCU with a master's degree in administrative education in 1971.
Lester was president of the Texas Classroom Teachers Association in the 1960s. He taught history at Brewer Junior High in White Settlement from 1957 to 1974. He was also a Master Mason and was a charter member of South Hills Baptist Church. Lester also enjoyed woodworking and after he retired, he worked at A. Brandt as a pattern maker. He loved to make furniture for his family and friends.
He was a loving husband and devoted father who will be missed by many.
Survivors: Wife, Marie Badger; daughters, Marcia Current and husband, Leland, and Cheryl Reed Murphy; grandsons, Jason Current, Landon Current and wife, Vivian, Steven Reed Jr., Jaxan Steadman; great-granddaughters, Marissa Current and Jadyn Steadman.
