Herbert William Behne, 82, of Yucaipa died of respiratory failure Saturday at Yucaipa Valley Convalescent Hospital.
Behne, a native of Steubenville, Ohio, lived in Yucaipa for 15 years. He was a maintenance worker for the U.S. government for 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 426 and the Masonic Lodge No. 726 of Yucaipa.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three brothers, Frank and Neil , both of Ohio and Donald of Texas; two sisters, Salma Rolland of Ohio and Fredia Lloyd of California.
Chapel service at Hughes Funeral Chapel in Yucaipa and burial at Desert Lawn, Calimesa.
