William Airheart married Mary Ramsour on 22 November 1866 in Newton County, Missouri

Farmer, member of Hawkins Chapel Methodist church according to church records.

William Airheart enlisted on 15 July 1861 for the Civil War. He was a private in Company G, 8th Regiment, Mitchell's Missouri Infantry. William Airheart enlisted from Newton County, Missouri. William Airheart was a prisoner of war and was paroled at Alexandria on 7 June 1865. After his marriage, the young couple moved to Cooke County, Texas in 1867 along with other members of the Airheart families.

William Airheart was Cooke County, Texas Commission from 1876-1880. Young County records suggest that William Airheart's family moved to Young County in 1881 locating in the Brushy Creek area which is half-way between the Farmer and Hawkins Chapel communities.

Walter Lee Airheart and Belle Hawkins siad W.L. Airheart and his wife, Mary A. Airheart were married only one time. To this union, only three children were born:

- Belle Airheart, wife of L.B. Hawkins
- Minnie A. Airheart, wife of H.M. Hawkins
- Walter Lee Airheart
