Lynch died Friday May 25, at the McCone County Hospital in Circle. He was born July 30, 1895 at Neilsville, Wis., son of James and Mina (Bliss) Lynch. He served in the U.S. Army on the Mexican border under General Pershing and in Frances during World War I as an infantry officer. On July 13, 1917, he married Hazel A. Wiesner in St. Paul, Minn. Over the years, he had been employed as a time keeper for the Northern Pacific Railroad, owned his own dray business, served as Dawson County Clerk of Court and at the time of his retirement was cashier at the Exchange State Bank of Glendive. Lynch was a Shirner in the Glendive Mason, past exalted ruler in the Glendive Elks, past commander of the Glendive American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Glendive, three sons, Donald J. of Glendive, John R. of Lake Oswego, Oregon and David J. of Worland Wyo. a daughter Kathleen Ayers of Fishtail, 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
