DeWitt Clinton Wolverton, son of Luther and Electa Wolverton, was born in Greenville, Michigan, May 20, 1866, and departed this life at Flint, Michigan, January 25, 1931. He came to Flint twelve years ago. On August 1, 1900, he married Mrs. Gertrude Lewis Carrill. To this union five children were born, one dying in infancy. Surviving to mourn their loss are, his wife; two sons Forest E and Martin; two daughters Mrs. Blanche Bentley and Mrs. Esther Cross, all of Flint; one brother; other friends and relatives. He was converted when only sixteen years of age, was sanctified soon after and joined the Free Methodist Church, of which he remained a faithful and most consistent member to the end. He prayed much for his children, calling them all by name. Funeral sservices were hold in the Oak Street Free Methodist Church, Flint, by the writer, assisted by Revs, A.L. Brown and W.J. Cross, Sr. Text Psalm 116:15. Burial in Bristol Cemetery. H.E Lieninger
