William married Elizabeth Cain on 6 Jan 1859 in Marion Co. Indiana but their marriage license was registered in Grant Co., Indiana.

Military Records:

Residence Marion County IN; Enlisted on 8/5/1862 as a Private. On 8/5/1862 he mustered into "C" Co. IN 12th Infantry.

He was listed as: Wounded 8/30/1862 in Richmond, KY. He died of wounds on 9/20/1862
