Oliver S. Bigsby, 67, of 1157 Glencove Road North, died yesterday at a local nursing home. Born in Phoenix, he was a resident of Syracuse for 60 years. Mr. Bigsby retired in 1966 as an electrical engineer for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. after 31 years with the company. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, the 25-year Club of Niagara Mohawk and the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and was chairman of Troop 7, Boy Scouts of America, for 10 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Christine Denny; a son, Donald K. of Schenectady; his mother, Mrs. Mary Bigsby of Taunton, and three brothers, J. Milton of Belgium, Gerald W. of Taunton, and Marvin O. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Goddard and Crandall Funeral Home, 3111 James St., with the Rev. Peter Suarez officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the First English Lutheran Church.
