TOWN OF TONAWANDA — Phyllis J. Mongold Reed, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest Monday, April 26, 2010 in the Town of Tonawanda, NY. Born February 28, 1928, in Tonawanda, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Pletcher Mongold. Phyllis was a past employee of Montgomery Wards. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church and a past Cub Scout Den Mother. Phyllis also enjoyed Bible study and prayer chain. Wife of the late Robert S. Reed, Sr., who passed away on April 2, 2010.
Mother of Robert S. Reed, Jr., Lynette J. (Dennis) Sarkisian, both of Massachusetts, Leilh Pate of Lockport, Chelsea J. Reed of Fredonia, NY, and the late Linda L. Beyer and Benjamin L. (Shirley) Reed. Sister of Leslie R. Garrison of California and Dawn (Paul) Devlin of Niagara Falls, NY. Also survived by 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was predeceased by five brothers and sisters.
