Hinckley Pioneer Dies in Hospital

Another pioneer of Hinckley passed away this month with the death of Frank J. Aimesberger, who died on January 18th at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, following an operation for cancer. The remains were brought to Hinckley and funeral services were held from the Catholic Church on January 21st, and the body laid to rest in Rosehill Cemetery, Father Rieger officiating.

Frank Joseph Aimesberger was born in Austria on April 1, 1880, and came to this country at the age of four years with his parents, the family settling at St. Paul. In the spring of 1894, when Frank was 14, the family moved to Hinckley and passed through the great Hinckley fire of that year in safety. They settled on a farm five miles west of Hinckley where the deceased made his home until his death, first with his parents and when they had passed on, with his sister, Mrs. Alex Weser. He had never married and had lived happily there with his sister for the past thirty two years.

At the time of his death he was 46 years, 9 months, and 17 days of age. He had been ailing for the past six months but did not consider it serious, going to the hospital only a month before he died.

He leaves to mourn his loss besides his sister, Mrs. Alex Weser of Hinckley, one brother, Joseph, of Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and a nephew, Joseph, living at Rice Lake.
Among those present from out of town for the funeral was an old friend, Mr. Ed Fisher of St. Paul, and his nephew from Rice Lake.
