Miss Byrum was formerly Miss Maggie Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Brown of Steel Creek. She had been in declining health for three months.
Surviving are her husband, head engineer of the South Power company's plant at Lookout Shoals, and three young children, Thomas and Charles, twins, and John Franklin. Sisters and brothers surviving are Misses Susie May, Edith, Louise; Howard of Rich Square, Grady, Resses, Frank Lee, Fred and Benny. An aunt, Mrs. C. H. Garmon,, 543 Lamar avenue, lives in this city.
