LARRY C. WOOTEN, 71, of Huntington, W.Va., died Saturday, October 20, 2007, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, by Rev. Jeffrey Wick. Entombment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Larry was born August 11, 1936, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Curtis and Edith Gleim Wooten. He was retired from the former Owens-Illinois Glass Company. Larry was a member of the Huntington Masonic Lodge #53 A.F. and A.M., whose members will be pallbearers and conduct masonic graveside rites, a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry El Hasa of Ashland, Ky., and a Kentucky Colonel. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Stedham; and one sister, Myrna Nease. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hope Gibson Wooten; two daughters, Kim Cooper and husband, Robert of Macon, Ga., and Lori Petty and husband, Mark of Peach Tree City, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Scott Nease of South Point, Ohio.
