Funeral services for Rev. Lawson Pettus Boland, 91, of Barber, a retired Lutheran minister, will be conducted at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday at Lebanon Lutheran Church at Barber. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Nicholson Funeral Home, Statesville, until taken to the church to lie in state half an hour prior to the rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and requests that memorials be made to the building fund in Lebanon Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mr. Boland was a former pastor at St. Enoch and Trinity Lutheran Churches for eight years.
