Whitney Kaye Radder, age 19, of Kiel, died Tuesday afternoon, April 20, 2010.
She was born Soh Hyun Park in Seoul, Korea on August 20, 1990. On December 19, 1990 she came to the United States to her parents, Robert and Kaye (Henschel) Radder.
Whitney attended Kiel Schools and was the Valedictorian of the 2009 Class of Kiel High School.
She currently was a student at UW Green Bay where she was pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of the UW Green Bay Honor Roll and the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
While a student of Kiel High School, she was a member of the National Honor Society, a band member, a member of the girls basketball team for three years and a member of both the tennis and soccer teams for four years. As a senior she was chosen as 2nd team all conference in soccer. She was a member of the Boomerang Program, working with Elementary students.
Whitney was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ where she was baptized and confirmed. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Youth Group of the church.
She had been employed at K & M Piggly Wiggly in Kiel and was currently a work study tutor through UWGB.
Whitney loved children and babysitting, her animals and pets. She also enjoyed playing youth soccer.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Kaye, rural Kiel; two brothers, David Radder, Kiel, Brian Radder, Green Bay; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Shirley Henschel, rural Kiel; aunts and uncles, Gene and Kim Radder, St. Nazianz, Lloyd and Doreen Radder, Val Rico, FL, Kathy and Louie Bowe, Kiel, Lee and Nancy Henschel, Howards Grove, Shelly and Dan Bonde, Elkhart Lake, Shari and Glenn Verstraate, Howards Grove and Neal Henschel, Cleveland. She is further survived by her special friend, Ellis Miller, Kiel; her loving Godmothers, Lindy, Shelly and Shari, many cousins, other relatives and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Fred and Bertha Radder.
Funeral services will be held for Whitney on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 11608 Lax Chapel Road, Kiel with Rev. Ashley Nolte officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
