Born May 21, 1931, in Albemarle, she was a daughter of the late Laura and Eben L. Hearne. She was a retired U.S. Navy captain, having served for 20 years. After retirement, she served as personnel manager for the city of Albemarle.
Survivors include sisters Betty H. Garrison, Albemarle, and Mrs. Robert L. Miller, Concord.
Services:4 today, Hearne Cemetery, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. John Futterer. The body may be viewed at Hartsell Funeral Home prior to the service. The family will be at the home of a niece, Lydia Morgan, 610 Yadkin St., Albemarle.
