Mrs. Clement commited suicide. First Husband I. Newton Smith died Nov. 1896 and they had on child, Issac Newton Smith.
In Nov. 1899 she married C. Townsend Clement of Boston who left due to her suicide tendency. She nearly killed her son & sister in law who were asleep in house when she turned on the gas. Charles K. Westbrook her forner attorney has been the guardian of her son. Mr Westbrook was related to first husband.
Age 54 years. Reside at 1917 N. Broad St., Phila. She is buried with Smith family.
