She was born June 7, 1910 in Montpelier to the late Charles A. and Olive Blount Bedwell. On Aug. 5, 1933, she married Claude V. Smith in Montpelier, and he died July 13, 1984. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Wilcox; 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
Surviving are 4 grandchildren, Deb Mahan (husband: Jim), Jeff Wilcox (wife: Deb), Beth Newman (husband: Eric) and Janet Wilcox; 7 great-grandchildren, Jim Mahan, Christie Hoaglin, Hilary Wible, Ryan Wilcox, Tiffany Bramer, Brandy Withers and Chelsea Brown; 8 great-great grandchildren, Jake and Jenna Mahan, Robby and Luke Wilcox, Lili Wible, Jackson Hoaglin, Molly Bramer and Kassi Daunhauer and a daughter-in-law, Norma Wilcox.
