ABE KREIGH DIED SUNDAY MORNING
Life-long resident of Wells County Succumbs to Cancer of Stomach
Death came at 10 o'clock yesterday morning to Abraham Kreigh, of Ossian. Mr. Kreigh was 77 years of age and had been a life-long resident of Wells County, moving here from Williams County, Ohio, in early childhood. Mr. Kreigh, was a farmer, but the past five years had lived a retired life in Ossian. Death was due to cancer of the stomach, from which he had been a sufferer for the past year. He had been bedfast for about six weeks, and death was not unexpected. Surviving, besides the wife, are nine children, Lizzie Bush, wife of Ezra Bush, of Crystal Valley, Mich.; Fred, of Buffalo, Ind.; Charles, of Albion, Mich.; Dallas, of Kansas City, Mo.; Forest and Ezra, of Ft. Wayne; John, of this city; Frank, at home, and Bessie, wife of George Curry, of Ossian. Two brothers also survive, Isaac, of Ossian; and Henry, of Kingsland. Many grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive. Mr. Kreigh was member of Lew Dailey post G.A.R., having been with Co. A, 34th Indiana Volunteers. He was also a member of the Ossian Masonic Lodge. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Ossian with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. At a meeting of Lew Dailey Post today arrangements were made to attend the funeral in a body, and the G.A.R. will have charge of the funeral exercises. Members of the order will meet at the post hall at 12:30 tomorrow.
